Current studies show that people with high HRV (heart rate variability) se more flexible when it comes to stress. A high HRV allows people to come in and out of a stress response with little to no effort. A low HRV is quite the opposite... a person with low heart rate variability has a less flexible nervous system and tend to feel chronically stressed and excessively alert. Sound familiar?
