MOVE Your Way Through Stress

Photo: Luis Quintero  It’s easy to think about how our mood affects our movement. Maybe you have a hard time sitting still when you are feeling anxious or you find it difficult to move at all when you are depressed?  But let’s talk about the reverse- moving your body can also change your emotional state! …

Mother’s Day and Difficult Emotions

Motherhood is a big deal. It’s a tall order when you think about it. As a mom, you’re the first person your baby attaches to. A baby knows the sound of his or her mother’s voice while still in the womb. Infants like to be rocked at the same pace as their mother’s heartbeat. Babies …

Its a Hard Knock Life

There are moments in our lives that make us or break us. It’s part of the ups and downs of life. Our hearts can be broken into a million pieces. Our lives can be shattered. In those moments- we may feel down for the count. We feel like we're free falling into the abyss. We …

{I love to Laugh Ha Ha Ha Ha}

♫Loud and long and clear!♫ Does anyone remember that song? From Mary Poppins {If not, here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOMqqI-kzHY }.   I used to LOVE it growing up.  And when it pops into my brain, it still makes me smile.  And, just as much as I loved that song, I also love to laugh. Imagine …

The holidays are the most wonderful time of year, right? For many the answer might be yes, but the holidays are often a difficult time of year that reminds us of loss, financial stress, the sense of time passing, and much much more. Read our most recent blog about the uncomfortable emotions of the holidays.
It's possible to choose connection and still disagree. Agree together or disagree together, but be together.
It's amazing how we can live through the same moment, yet have vastly different experiences. Sometimes this creates conflict in our relationships. But here's the thing, personal truth and fact are not synonymous. It doesn't make our experience any less valid, it just means we're presented with an opportunity: we can practice perspective taking, which leads to connection, or we camp out in our narrative, which can lead to disconnection.
We're so excited to be able to offer services to even more people!
It's not about the response--its about seeking first to understand. Let connection be our goal.
I think we've all felt the divisiveness lately. Check out the latest blog on communicating in the midst of turmoil.
